Dr. Wallace Nozile is double board-certified in both dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery — one of the highest levels of surgical specialization available in dermatology. He performs Mohs micrographic surgery on-site at FoxHall Dermatology's Northwest DC location, meaning patients who receive a skin cancer diagnosis at the practice can proceed directly to surgical treatment without referral to an outside surgical center.

Mohs micrographic surgery is the gold standard treatment for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, achieving cure rates as high as 99% while preserving the maximum amount of surrounding healthy tissue. It is particularly recommended for cancers on the face, scalp, neck, ears, and hands. Dr. Nozile also performs comprehensive annual full-body skin exams and in-office biopsies.
