PRP\PRF Q & A

How does PRP work?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios. These platelets release growth factors that are like signal callers that give instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply.

What Happens on the Day of My Visit?

A special collection tube is used to draw your blood and placed in the centrifuge. The concentrated platelets are drawn up into a syringe.  A small needle is used to strategically inject the platelets into your scalp in the areas that need improvement.

What is the Recovery Time?

There is no downtime or long recovery time.  You should avoid using any harsh dyes or chemicals on your hair for 48 hours. You may take a warm shower the evening of your treatment
